2023 Season Overview

Sessions

  • Session 2: 4/23/2023-5/27/2023 (5 Weeks)

    • Registration Closes for Session 2 on 4/14/2023 OR if the program fills prior to that date

Registration for programming is by individual session, the price you will see next to each program cost is for ONE session. 

Check-In: All participants in Grades 6 and under will need to be escorted into the building for check-in by a parent/guardian. 
Pick-Up: All participants in Grades 6 and under will need to be checked out by a parent/guardian at the end of each program. 

What to wear?

  • Giorgetti Athletic Complex is not a heated facility - please dress for the weather! 

  • Cleats may be worn for Grades 3 and up, but are not required. 

 

SOFTBALL INSTRUCTIONAL: Grades 3-6

Softball Instructional Programming will be available for players of all levels from all cities and towns. This program will meet once a week, including instruction and skill development in batting and fielding.

2023 Majors SOFTBALL League

Grades: 6-8

  • Registration Opens: 5/17/23

  • Registration Cost: $80R/$91NR

  • 16 Participant Max

  • Practices: Tuesdays & Thursdays (Time & Location TBD)

    • Practices will start in mid-June but could change depending on field conditions or availability.

  • Once the season starts, games will be played on Tuesdays & Thursdays with a start time of 6:00 PM

  • Games for the Majors start at the tail end of June. The season will conclude in early August

  • Volunteer coaches are needed for this program. If you are interested in helping coach, please contact Program Director Joe Bonasera @ joeb@rutlandrec.com.

Adult Softball

Round up some friends and enter your team in one of Vermont's largest Adult Softball League! Whether your team is an accomplished group of former high school all-stars or the Bad News bears, we have a division for everyone including Men's D/E, Women's B or C, and COED. Games are scheduled to begin in May, but could be pushed back due to field conditions, and go through the Summer. Fees vary by division and team size.

2023 Adult Softball Season

Registration Updates 2023

  • Registration Opens: 2/15/23

  • Team Registration Closes: 4/7/23

  • ONLY team captains are responsible for registering teams.

  • Once forms have been completed, invoices for registration fees will be sent out to managers.

    • Please allow up to 48HRS after registering, an invoice will be emailed to the team contact/manager when your account is ready

  • Team managers meeting scheduled for 4/17/23 @ 6:00 PM at the Courcelle Building

  • Rosters, complete with the participants, will be due NO LATER than 4/7/23.

  • Participants will need to fill out the online/paper waiver form BETWEEN 4/5/23 - 5/5/23

    • Team managers/contacts will be responsible for making sure this is done on time.

  • Participants can only be on one team roster per league.

    • Ex. You can play on a Men’s Team and a COED TEAM, but you cannot play on TWO Men’s Teams in the same division.

  • Team Minimum 14 Participants | Team Maximum 24 Participants

    • Teams/Rosters will NOT be accepted with fewer than 14 participants

Pricing Updates 2023

  • There will be no individual player fees

  • Amatuer Softball Association Fee is included in the registration cost.

  • Payments can be collected in two installments:

    • First Half Due: 4/15/2023

    • Second Half Due: 4/28/23

  • Payments can be made by cash, check, and Visa/MasterCard
