JOIN THE TRADITION!
Those who practice regularly will swim in meets. Swim Team has an approximate ration of 1:20. The focus is on endurance, improving strokes, instilling a love for competitive swimming and having fun. If your child needs to learn their strokes swim lessons at a ratio of 1:8 are a recommended supplement to swim team or private lessons with our swim instructors.
SWIM LESSONS
AGES: 6 months and up
FEE: All swim lesson fees are: $23.00 resident & NR Fee: $34.00
Our staff is excited to teach your child how to swim, develop their strokes or give them the final tips in mastering the strokes. Our water is heated to a comfortable 81 degrees which makes it much more pleasant to get in the water than it did for us when we were kids! If you sign up for multiple lessons at one time you must sign up for the same level for each additional session. If room allows and your child passes we will move them up upon request for the next session.
Baseball
TEE BALL – Coed League
This is a Tee Ball program for boys and girls using a safety ball. All players will hit from a batting tee. The object of the league is to teach the children baseball fundamentals and teamwork.
AGES: Entering kindergarten or 1st grade in the fall of 2012.
DATES: June 19 – July 26
DAYS: Tuesday and Thursday evening games
LOCATION: Allen St. Campus (Success School)
FEE: $38 resident & $49 non-resident

MITEY MITES – Coed League
This is a coach pitch league for boys and girls using a safety ball. The object is to enhance and expand upon the skills learned in Tee Ball.
AGES: Entering 2nd or 3rd grade in the fall of 2012.

DAYS: Monday and Wednesday evening games
LOCATION: Allen St. Campus (Success School)

JUNIOR LEAGUE
The teams are part of the Rutland County Youth Baseball league. This is a traveling league that runs from mid-June to mid-August. Games are played on weekday evenings and Saturdays. Once teams have been organized, coaches will notify players about practice and game schedules. TEAMS ARE LIMITED IN SIZES, so sign-up early
AGES: Must turn 13 before and cannot turn 16 before 5/1/12.
DATES: Evaluations and practices will begin the week of 6/4/12 and games will begin the week of 6/11/12 through mid-August.

MAJORS/SENIORS SOFTBALL
The Rutland teams are part of the Rutland County Girls’ Softball Association. Games are played on weekday evenings. Once teams have been organized through a draft, coaches will notify players about practice and game schedules. All players must attend a mandatory evaluation.

Mountain Bike Club
Our youth mountain bike club is open to all levels of mountain bikers from all towns in grades 6-12. Participants will need a mountain bike with gears, helmet and appropriate tires. Club members will compete at races throughout Vermont and New Hampshire during the summer. Travel will be provided to some races for a small additional donation for gas money. Mountain bike skills will be taught for beginners and expert youth riders. Register early and get on an e-mail list for possible preseason rides.
